* Note that there is a connection with the Downer family through Samuel as well as Kitty. His sister Florence had a daughter (also named Florence) who married James F Downer. It is not known what the relationship was between Joan and James.
* Also, in 1954, Henry's niece, Shylie, might have been a flower girl with Angela Downer (who is this Angela?) for the wedding of Douglas Andrew MONTAGUE-DOUGLAS-SCOTT and Bridget GEORGE. Bridget was the daughter of the Governor of SA. |
