  Notes for biography	* See the biography of her father, John * Mary was born 12 August 1838. * She never married. * According to the census of 1871 and 1881 she was living with her widowed mother and two spinster sisters at Pier Road. * Mary Ann had a share of the estate after her mother died in 1882. * She also benefitted from the estate of their aunt, Caroline Cooper (nee Tubbs), by having, with her sisters, a half share in her estate, as well as some personal bequests. * By 1901 the sisters had moved to 19 Overcliffe, next door to their sister-in-law, Sophia. Living with them was a General Domestic Servant. * Mary Ann died on 2 August 1916 of Senile Degeneration of the Nervous System, 10 days before her 78th birthday. * The will for Mary Ann has not yet been found. (February 2002) * She was buried in the same grave as her parents and sisters.   [1]
